Dillon Rawlings is an artist whose artistic journey commenced at The Classical Academy during high school. With a passion for creativity ignited during those formative years, Dillon has embarked on a remarkable artistic journey creating a harmonious fusion of intricate detailing and graceful forms. At the age of 12, Dillon had the incredible opportunity to meet nationally acclaimed fine artist, Thomas Blackshear, leading to a transformative mentorship that would profoundly shape his artistic trajectory. Under Thomas Blackshear’s guidance, Dillon honed his skills and gained insights that have enriched his creative approach immeasurably.

In 2017, Dillon achieved a significant milestone by winning the “Best of Show” award in the Scholastics and D20 art show in Colorado Springs, CO. Creativity is a family legacy, with several relatives achieving notable accomplishments. Of particular influence was Dillon’s father, Greg Rawlings, who dedicated time to sketch with him during his childhood. He has also mastered various mediums, including gilding with gold leaf, acrylic, charcoal, gouache, and chalk pastels.

Dillon’s artistic journey is a perpetual quest for growth and innovation. Each of his creations reflects personal evolution and draws inspiration from the beauty of all things: animals, people, architecture, and plants. From the initial days at The Classical Academy to his ongoing pursuits, Dillon remains steadfast in pushing the boundaries of his craft, eager to share his distinctive perspective where Realism intertwines with the elegance of Art Nouveau.

His collections often explore:

  • Abstract expressions inspired by music and movement.
